In essence, it’s a tool for bypassing AV and obfuscating scripts and executables by employing encryption and obfuscation techniques. The purpose of this article is to discuss it at a high enough level that you can take the ‘design principles’ and apply them to any language that you want and make your own, though you’re free to follow along in PowerShell if you care to.īefore we get into it, we need a clear idea of what a crypter is.
